A trip to the past

A forest made of stone

We depart from El Calafate towards the Parador La Leona (historical site), where we make a 15-minute stop and continue the trip until we reach the slopes of Cerro Los Hornos.

Upon arriving at the forest we begin a walk to explore the fossils (3 hours), including lunch time.

The visitor will be able to see a large number of petrified trunks and fossil remains of different types of dinosaurs.

The site is protected from the wind, it is very dry and the weather conditions in general are very pleasant.

At the end of the walk, we return to Calafate along the same path. Ideal for people who like outdoor activities, adventure and discovering new places.
