Stories and good drinks.
The tour starts at 6 pm, next to the cart located on the Pioneers‘ Square (Plaza de los Pioneros). Please, take into account that this is a walking tour.
At first, the guide will offer an “empanada” and taste the first vine of a Patagonian Wine, while we talk around the origins of El Calafate.
The walking tour will continue towards the bridge over the stream and go down the Libertador Avenue, the main street, up to the Perito Moreno square to speak about the beginnings of the Parish Church, City Counsil, etc.
Then, once we arrive at the first house of the city, we can savor the second grapevine and we continue by the main avenue up to Soto Passage. During that walk we talk about the development of the town. Once in the passage, we explain who was the person after which the passage is named and we speak about the Patagonian strikes that took place in the region during 1921 and 1922. Meanwhile we will enjoy a taste of the third wine.
Next, we cross the street to the Administration of the National Park, where we explain the role and the importance of National Parks for the growth of the town. Finally, we will go to the Wine Store where we finish the tour with a cheese platter and a toast with a sparkling wine or a Patagonian chardonnay.
