NIBEPO AIKE RANCH

Estancia Nibepo Aike is located within the National Park Los Glaciares, in front of Roca Lake, and offers an unrivalled natural setting. This tourist ranch, which has more than 100 years old of history, has the distinction of being the only one that, in addition to its tourist activity, also maintains its livestock activity.

If you book Gigantes Patagones transfer, we will begin the trip by picking passengers up from their hotels to begin a 55 km journey along the old ranch route. Along this route, you will pass through Estancia Huyliche, Anita and Alta Vista, and make stops at panoramic points that allow you to see the Andes, Argentino Lake and, in the background and in the distance, the Perito Moreno Glacier.

Once there, you will be greeted with something hot (tea, coffee or mate) and fried cakes or homemade puddings.

Then, we will take a walk around the old town of the ranch while the guide tells us the story of the first settlers of the place and the cattle farming in the area. Next, we will participate in the sheep shearing and herding activities, and the guachos will give us a demonstration of Creole skills.

Finally, we will take a walk to the shores of Roca Lake. For those more adventurous, there is the possibility of taking a 45-minute horseback ride (not included, prior reservation required).

Back at the barbecue area, they will be waiting for us with lunch: roast lamb on a spit.

For those who booked the Gigantes Patagones transfer, after lunch, we will begin the return to El Calafate.
