Minitrekking is one of the most complete options to visit the Perito Moreno Glacier. In addition to including the walk on the glacier, you can do the navigation that approaches the south wall and, if you hire the transfer with Gigantes Patagones, the visit to the walkway sector.

After taking Route 11, we will arrive at the Bajo de las Sombras Port, located 8 km before the Perito Moreno Glacier walkways. At this port, we will board to cross the Rico Arm of Lake Argentino, a trip that lasts approximately 20 minutes before disembarking on the opposite coast.

From here, we will enter a guided walk through the forest towards the refuge, where the guides will give an informative talk and place the crampons to walk on the glacier. The journey on the ice lasts about 1.30 hours, during which you can see cracks, sinkholes and small lagoons that exhibit a wide range of blue and turquoise tones. The walk is moderate and is done on an uneven but firm and safe ice surface. We will say goodbye with a glass of whiskey with ice to the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier.

The return to the port includes an approach to the walls of the glacier that offer a unique view.

Once back at the port, if you have hired the transfer service with Gigantes Patagones, we will go to the walkways to admire the glacier from solid ground and thus complete a day full of adventure and natural beauty.

Frequency: daily. Operates from July 15 to May 31.

Duration: 10 hrs. in total.

What to bring?: comfortable and warm clothing, waterproof jacket and pants, sports shoes or hiking boots, sunglasses, sunscreen, gloves and hat. Food and drink.

Included: 1.30 hrs. walk on the glacier, navigation, crampons.

Not included: lunch or entrance to Los Glaciares National Park. Transfer on request.

Restrictions: Only suitable for people between 8 and 65 years old, without exception. Not suitable for pregnant people. Not suitable for people with mobility difficulties. Not suitable for people with heart problems or other problems that may harm their health during the hike. Not suitable for sedentary people with obesity.

Cancellation policy: cancellation of the service is allowed without charge up to 24 hours before the date of the activity. Cases of force majeure duly documented (modification or cancellation of flights) or certified medical reasons.

No show: in case of not taking the service on the date, time and place agreed, 100% of the cost of the excursion will be charged as cancellation fees.
