DARWIN EXPERIENCE

This is a unique double kayaking experience on the Santa Cruz River, during which we will take part of the route that Charles Darwin took in the 19th century.

The adventure begins with the pick-up of the passengers at the hotel in our 4×4 trucks to go to the Charles Furh site, located 40 km away. Upon arrival, we will unload the kayaks from the 4×4 vehicles and begin this experience. We will do warm-up exercises while the guides give us a talk on safety measures and provide us with all the necessary equipment.

Once ready, we will travel 15 km in a kayak for 1 hour and a half surrounded by the Patagonian steppe until we reach Estancia El Rincón.

After lunch, we will begin the return trip to El Calafate: first along a gravel road in the heart of the steppe and then along the mythical Route 40 to El Calafate.

The excursion gives the possibility that if any passenger does not wish to kayak, they can go as a companion. You will always be accompanied by a guide and will meet the rest of the group at the ranch for lunch

Cancellations may occur due to strong winds.

Frequency: daily.

Duration: 09:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Included: lunch at the ranch and technical equipment

What to bring?: sunglasses, sunscreen, comfortable clothing, thermal shirt, lycra tights, change of underwear. Backpack/bag to store the clothes left in the vehicle.

Restrictions: only suitable for people over 16 years old. Not suitable for pregnant women.

Cancellation policy: allows cancellation without charges up to 24 hours before the date of the activity.

No show: in case of not taking the service on the date, time and place agreed, 100% of the cost of the service will be charged as cancellation fees.
