Full Day Chaltén Free

Full-day excursion in which you visit El Chaltén freely, without specific circuits. This option is ideal for those who want to design their own experience, either because they prefer to opt for the shorter trails or want to test themselves with more demanding routes compared to those offered by the guided alternative.

We start this full-day tour picking passengers up at their hotels: Once everyone is on board the bus, we will begin the trip to the town of El Chaltén, considered the National Capital of trekking. On our way, we will cross the Santa Cruz River and stop for a few minutes at the La Leona (a site of great historical interest) next to the river that bears the same name. There we will make a stop to use the toilets and you can enjoy homemade cakes and something hot to drink (not included).

Then, we will continue on our way to El Chaltén. During the tour, weather permitting, we will make a stop at the Viedma Glacier viewpoint, where we will have amazing panoramic views of the Viedma Glacier Valley, the iconic Fitz Roy Hill and Torre Hill.

Upon arriving in El Chaltén, we will have 5 hours to explore and enjoy this small mountain town. The guide in charge will provide you with advice on the various trail options while taking into account your physical condition. In addition, he will give you detailed maps of the enabled trails and a packed lunch.

The guide will indicate the schedule and meeting point to begin our return to El Calafate.

Frequency: daily. Operates from September 15 to April 15.

What to bring?: sunglasses, sunscreen, comfortable and warm clothing, sun hat, waterproof jacket, gloves and comfortable shoes.

Cancellation policy: cancellation of the service is allowed without charges up to 72 hours before the date of the activity. Cases of force majeure duly documented (modification or cancellation of flights) or certified medical reasons.

No show: in case of not taking the service on the date, time and place agreed, 100% of the cost of the excursion will be charged as cancellation fees.
