Challenge the rapids

The experience begins at the Fitz Roy Rafting operational base where the guides will provide you with technical and safety equipment.

Once dressed, we walk 50 meters with the guides to the entrance area to the river, where the technical and safety talk of the activity is given.

The first zone consists of 6 km. of calm and meandering waters, an opportunity to contemplate Cerro Fitz Roy and its satellite spiers, the Andean forest, the steppe and eventually native fauna and bird life, it is the ideal time to get in touch with the raft and practice rowing and safety techniques explained by the guide.

The second part advances on the area where the river is enclosed in a canyon through which class III to III + rapids are configured that follow one another along the remaining 10 km.

The rafting activity in the Río de las Vueltas lasts two hours and offers the possibility of living an experience that complements contemplation and connection with nature and, at the same time, action and the right dose of adrenaline.

After drinking something hot (tea, coffee) and tasting some delicious crescents, the vehicle will return to the Fitz Roy Rafting operational base where passengers can change comfortably.

Physical demand level: moderate/high. (No prior experience in Rafting is necessary)

What to bring?: Towel and change of underwear
Frequency: Daily 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. October to April
