Cabalgata Corta en Río Mitre
Horseback riding and Customs in the Brazo Rico area
Discover rural life
We leave El Calafate bordering Argentino Lake until we reach Estancia Río Mitre, which faces the Andes and the Magallanes peninsula.
Once there, we will be greeted with tea, mate or hot coffee while the welcome talk is held. Then we will leave for the stables to begin the horseback ride towards the shore of Rico Lake (an arm of the immense Argetino Lake).
We will go around the lake and contemplate the beautiful landscape of snow-capped mountains, while the guide will provide an explanation about the geography and history of the place. There are those who only want to ride and there are those who prefer to walk and learn about the place. Then, we will start the return to the ranch where they will be waiting for you with a delicious Patagonian lamb cooked on a spit (optional: beef steaks) accompanied by salads. Once lunch or dinner is over, we will start the return to El Calafate. The horseback ride lasts approximately 2 hours.
