NATIVOS EXPERIENCE

This is a half-day excursion, in which you travel in 4×4 vehicles along the cliffs of Lake Argentino, within the Nature Reserve 25 de Mayo. This activity offers a historical approach to the passage and contact of the first explorers with the Tehuelches. It is ideal to do on the arrival or departure day.

We will depart from El Calafate on an exciting 4×4 journey along the shores of Lake Argentino and culminate in the cliffs sector in front of it from where you can see the Andes and get magnificent views of the surroundings.

We will continue our tour to the Punta Walichu archaeological site where, through a walk of approximately 500 m, we will observe and interpret with the guide the cave paintings that we will see on the rocks and the different techniques that were used to make them.

Finally, we will arrive at one of the caves located within this archaeological zone, with impressive views of Lake Argentino, where we will enjoy a unique lunch/dinner in a natural setting that takes us back thousands of years.

After lunch, we return to our hotel in Calafate.

Frequency: daily. From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Duration: 3 hrs.

Included: entrance to the archaeological zone and lunch/dinner with drinks.

What to bring: warm clothing, comfortable shoes, gloves and a hat.

Cancellation policy: Cancellation is allowed without charge up to 24 hours before the date of the activity.

No show: in case of not taking the service on the date, time and place agreed upon, 100% of the cost of the service will be charged as cancellation fees.
